Configuring Your Booking System: Restaurant Table Reservation
1 Set Up Your Business Profile
- Navigate to Administration \ Advanced Settings
- Open the “Business Profile” list.
- Enter your “Contact Details”, Social Media Details" and links, “Postal Address”, and “Location Info”.
- Upload your “Business Logo” files, including logo (recommended size: 180x70 pixels), logo sign (no text, recommended size: 128x128 pixels), banner (recommended size: 1200x500 pixels), and side image (recommended size: 450x300 pixels).
2 Define Your Business Hours
- Navigate to Administration \ Advanced Settings
- Open the “Business Profile” list.
- Click on the “Business Hours” item.
- Set your business days and hours of operation (e.g., Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm).
3 Configure Your Booking Settings
- Navigate to Administration \ Advanced Settings
- Open the “Booking Services” list.
- Click on the “Booking Service Settings” item.
- Set the “Booking Time Block” to 30 minutes.
- Specify the “Max Number of People Allowed for Each Booking” as 8.
- Limit the “Max Number of Concurrent Bookings” to 50.
- Open the “Extended” tab and disable “Show popular items”, “Show services”, and “Show operators”. Enable “Show number of people”.
- Enable “Get Client Mobile” and “Client Mobile is Required” (you can also enable “Get client email” if you want to get your clients' email addresses).
- Enable “Notify Client by SMS” under the “Notifications” tab.
4 Create Operator Profiles
- You need to have at least one operator (in this case it can be set as your Kitchen operator)
- Navigate to Administration \ Advanced Settings
- Open the “Booking Services” list.
- Click on the “Operators” item.
- Add an operator and set the required inputs (e.g. First name: Kitchen, Last name: Operator, Display name: Kitchen), then set the operator schedule similar to your business hours (trading hours or the kitchen working schedule).
5 Set Up Your Services
- You need to have at list one service (in this case it can be set as your Dine-in service)
- Navigate to Administration \ Advanced Settings
- Open the “Booking Services” list.
- Click on the “Services” item.
- Create your service as “Dine-in”, and specify details like name (Dine-in), duration (30 minutes), cost ($50), cost description (from $50), and display color (red).
- Assign the created operator (in the previous step) to this service.
- Enable “Online Booking Allowed”.
6 Configure Advanced Settings
- Navigate to Administration \ Advanced Settings
- Open the “System Settings” list.
- Click on the “Automation Rules” item. You can define custom notification content and add a cancellation link to email/SMS notifications here.
- You can also manage “Operator Schedule” and “Public Holidays” in the Administration section.
7 Go Live and Start Accepting Online Bookings
- Once you’ve completed the setup, your ‘Make Booking Online’ system is ready to launch.
- Start promoting your online booking service to let your customers reserve a table for dine-in.
